Gardens impact our mental health, physical health, and the eco-systems and environment around us. Kingford Gardens seeks to open opportunities for you to get more out of your garden.

I grew up in the rolling Cotswold hills of rural Oxfordshire in England, but I now call Dunedin my home.

I started gardening from a young age, with my parents letting me play amongst the plants and flowers of their allotment in Birmingham, in the UK. Yet, my gardening passions really flourished having moved to Dunedin in 2016 to study at Otago University. Having met my now wife, Charlotte, we set about to create vegetable and ornamental gardens around our home, focussed on sustainable, pollinator-friendly gardening practices.

In 2021, I qualified in Horticulture through Otago Polytechnic. We share our garden with our son Benji, and our cat Jericho.
